Apple has introduced a new smartphone — iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro. As before, the gadget will be available in different versions with 6.1- and 6.7-inch displays. Both the basic and the most expensive options have undergone major technical changes. 

The design changes are minor. Externally, the iPhone 15 differs from its predecessor by the rounded edges of the case, which makes the gadget more comfortable in the hand. The smartphone will go on sale in five colors: black, blue, green, yellow and pink.

Up to 75% recycled aluminum is used in the construction of the case. In addition, the manufacturer announced improved protection against moisture according to the IP68 standard — now the iPhone can withstand immersion to a depth of 6 m (iPhone 13 — up to 4 m), but not more than 30 minutes.

iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro also lost the usual “bangs”, which was replaced by Dynamic Island technology — an oval cutout for a selfie camera on the display, which can be turned into part of the interface with the ability to display notifications and widgets on it.

The main camera unit on the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus remained dual, but the main sensor is now represented by a 48-megapixel sensor. The second camera has a resolution of 12 MP.

All gadgets are already available for pre-order, and the start of sales of the new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro is scheduled for September 22, 2023.
